The Great Park is home to the NHL Anaheim Ducks training facility, Wild Rivers waterpark, FivePoint Amphitheatre and a world class sports complex. Newport Beach is known for its large, boat-filled harbor, Fashion Island outdoor shopping mall and 8 harbor islands. The most popular is Balboa Island. Large mansion estates and unbelievable resort properties cover the hills in Newport Coast. Balboa Peninsula has 2 piers and the Balboa Fun Zone, an old-school amusement park with a Ferris wheel and ocean views. Local beaches include Corona del Mar and the Wedge, known for its big waves.
